Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Remex was so easy to work with from the beginning of the process until the end! They were very patient through the process of understanding our needs and then waiting for us to figure out what we would be moving forward with. Once we signed the contract, a date for the remediation was set quickly and efficiently. During the remediation the workers were so respectful of the space and the furniture in the area, and even moved away anything that we didn't move beforehand, that may get affected. At the end, the cleanup was spotless and they even moved things back that they hadn't moved and without us asking them to!! So happy with the whole process!

We apply the solution, wait for 10 minutes for the solution to penetrate then brush the grout lines. We then use our powerful water jet/extractor to remove and extract all the dirt, grease from the area.

It is a very effective process, that we are proud to service.

FAQ

What is grout cleaning?

Grout cleaning is deep cleaning of the porous cement-based material between tiles. Unlike tile surfaces that wipe clean easily, grout absorbs dirt, grime, soap scum, mold, and bacteria over time — turning dingy, discolored, or black. Professional grout cleaning uses commercial-grade solutions with steam or high-pressure equipment to extract embedded dirt that regular mopping can't reach. We apply sealant after cleaning to protect grout from future moisture and stain absorption.

How much does grout cleaning cost?

NYC professional grout cleaning costs $1–$3 per square foot, with most companies requiring a $150–$200 minimum. Standard bathrooms run $150–$350, large or master bathrooms $250–$500, and kitchen floors $300–$700. Price depends on square footage, tile size (smaller tiles mean more grout lines and higher cost), staining level, and whether you add sealing ($0.50–$1.50 per square foot extra). Heavily soiled or mold-affected grout may add $100–$200 for extra treatment. We provide free estimates based on your specific situation.
